A New Path

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.
Psalm 32:8

The Lord is faithful and full of mercy. He is our everything. That is why we are trusting Him as He directs us on a new a different path...and we couldn't be more excited! As many of you already know, we have decided to heed to the Holy Spirit's promptings and to leave Bonners Ferry, Idaho and head east to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It certainly doesn't hurt that the Phillies are in the World Series this year! We are excited for this next season of our walk with God. A season to reflect, learn, ponder, grow, and to be refreshed in Him. We are trusting in His promise of good, and not of evil for our lives. What an amazing and comforting promise! God's word has come alive to us more so in the last week since we have been in PA, than it has in over a year! And that alone is something to rejoice over and to praise Him for.
The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. Psalm 29:4
We look forward to updating ya'll on God's goodness towards the Maloney's and for future testimonies of His love and grace.
The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace. Psalm 29:11

Thank you Lord

Wow, we have arrived in Idaho, been here about 3 weeks already now. Total numbers are something like 2,000 miles of driving, 5 states, 4 days and many wonderful places we saw and stopped at with countless memories. Also in there are 2,500 miles of flying, one stop in Minnesota, one wedding and a free bump up to first class for Lukes' first flight ever! We
have been blessed to stay in about 12 or 13 different places in about 15 or 16 days, the constant packing and unpacking was wearing on us but God is so gracious and we found a little house here in Bonners Ferry down the street from Mountain Springs Church and either I can walk to work
or Monica and Luke can walk to visit Daddy! It's sweet, our neighbors are great and we are so thankful for God's safety and provision over this last month or so. It's still a change being here for sure, but we are getting more acclimated with our new town each day. Please pray for a job for me, also for continued strength from the Lord, and hearts to serve North Idaho as we learn about His love for this community in the days leading up to our next services and outreaches.
We love you all, God bless you, thanks for your prayers. We will be sending more updates and pics out soon, we are just trying to get the small details finished up here and unpack our boxes.
May God richly bless you today!!
In Christ,
Joe, Monica and Luke

The Path of Life

Psalm 19:11 says, You will show me the path of life, In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
I sit and wonder what life will be like in 5 more years of walking more closely with the Lord. I wonder what it will be like to see my beautiful wife grow in her relationship with Christ in the next few years. I look eagerly to the future to see Luke experience the fullness of joy that God has for him. I ponder the pleasures of knowing God more intimately through the Bible and the power of His Holy Spirit and cannot thank Him enough for all He has done for us. Thank you Lord, Your grace is enough. We love You God. Thank You for calling us to Idaho, one week!

FAMILY

Today we were so fortunate to be able to take the day and go north to the SD ZOO's extension, the Wild Animal Park. Mama takes Luke to the zoo a lot with our passes but we hadn't been here yet as a family. What a great day, beautiful weather as usual, but with one another in a new place. God is so gracious to allow us the opportunities to hang together at such great places to observe and enjoy His creation. We saw the lions, giraffes, elephants, a blad eagle and many other amazing animals. And the landscape is really beatuiful too. Rolling hills, tons of trees, and boulders littered along the way.
It was such a sweet time as a family, and I thank God for verses like Psalm 127:3 which says, "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward." We are so blessed to be able to enjoy this life with each other and now our son Luke. He is a reward.
He is such a joy to our hearts and God has given him to us for His and our enjoyment. Luke
was able to see some birds for the first time and who knows what else he took in, but we are so grateful to have been given such a great gift to teach and love everyday. God bless you,
Love,
Joe, Monica and Luke

5 more weeks!

Ok, so our belongings were packed and shipped to Bonners Ferry last week with the help of some VERY faithful servants at the Horizon School of Evangelism...they are getting a head start on "Lovin out Loud".
The excitement is building! Things are becoming very real now.
Joe is flying up to Bonners Ferry June 6-8th to be there for the outreach that the Horizon School of Evangelism (HSE) students will be involved in. We are soooo excited for HSE to be up in Bonners Ferry as part of their "Love out Loud" tour. They will be reaching out to the community and blessing the people of Bonners Ferry with the love of Christ.
Joe will then fly home and finish out his last week of teaching at Horizon Jr/Sr High School. I know he is going to miss the staff and students so much there. Everyone has been such an encouragment to our family.
June 22 is the official date we will be driving up to Bonners Ferry.
Please pray for the Lord's guidance and wisdom as we drive up. We want to take our time getting there due to the unpredictablility of having a newborn...sort of...5 1/2 months now!....on his first road trip.
Please pray for safety for all of Team Idaho as we drive our families to Idaho....and Montana (more on that later!)
We covet your prayers!
God bless you!

Movin' on out

Well, it's about that time! In only 7 weeks we will be heading up to Idaho! The excitement is almost unbearable! We are so pumped to be counted worthy to help in carrying out God's plan for the people of Bonners Ferry, Idaho. There are only 2600 people in the town of Bonners Ferry....so we know that it is possible to reach each and every single person in the town for Jesus Christ. But we won't be alone in all this. God is sending up 3 other families (so far) to serve Him in Bonners Ferry also. Thank You God for bringing this family together!
But there is still alot of unfinished business here in San Diego that needs to be taken care of first. Please pray for us as we plan to pack and move. That God would take care of all the seemingly endless details...the logistics of moving...packing...planning...driving...and for His peace to rule in our hearts during this time.
To God be the glory
